Lessons
People of all ages have enrolled for music lessons at Berkeley Music Centre; some of these students have become professional teachers in Australia whilst many more have gone on to long-lasting involvement in music making.
Lessons with Berkeley Music Centre are by appointment and are conducted on a one-to-one basis with the focus on student development. Music lessons are not only about learning the practical aspects of playing your instrument. They also include watching inspiring performances, studying music theory as well as the opportunity to take part in live performances. Students may also attempt grading examinations with St Cecilia School of Music.
The standard lesson format at Berkeley Music Centre is a 30 minute slot once a week at Tumbi Umbi. Lessons can be increased to twice a week for beginners if desired. Hour-long lessons are also offered if required by a student or if they are attempting Grade 5 or higher examinations. Preparation for HSC also requires an hour lesson.
Lessons are available Monday to Saturday. Normally lessons are between 4pm and 9 pm Monday to Friday and 9am till 12pm on a Saturday.
Berkeley Music Centre is a registered service provider for the CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHERS. You have to go to Service NSW to apply and then save $100.
If the student is unsure of the instrument they wish to play we are happy to offer a free consultation before the first lesson. Instruments are available to rent if a student does not have their own to begin with.
Greg is highly qualified to help you achieve your goals whether it be for the H.S.C., graded examinations, to play in bands with friends or just for fun. So, whatever your goal is Berkeley Music Centre is here to help.
