Greg is a highly experienced teacher and musician. In 1980 he was awarded a Diploma of Music Education and commenced teaching high school music. In 1984 he was awarded Licentiate Trinity College London Teacher’s Diploma; 1989 Greg was awarded the Bachelor of Music Education. 2018 saw Greg awarded a Proficient Teacher certificate from the NSW Education Standards Authority. 2018 also saw Greg awarded a Fellowship Diploma Saint Cecilia School of Music for Music Education.
From 1980 till 2017 Greg taught years 7 to 12 in high schools in NSW. Apart from classroom teaching Greg also led school concert bands, brass and woodwind quartets, music director and director for school musicals. He was also the lead teacher in the sound and lighting production for school performances, concerts and assemblies.
Greg has been heavily involved in musical theatre and has been an orchestra member, Music Director and Director for Gosford Music Society and Wyong Musical Theatre Company. He was awarded a Life Membership with Wyong Musical Theatre Company. As an orchestra member he has played on Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Baritone saxophones. Eb and Bb clarinet and Bass clarinet. He has also played Flute.
Greg has performed with the Central Coast Concert Band as 1st Alto saxophone, he has also played in local jazz bands on various saxophones, clarinets and electronic saxophone.
He has conducted the Tempo Terrific Concert Band and is currently Musical Director and President of Lakes Concert Band.

Since 2001 Greg has been involved with writing syllabi for St Cecilia School of Music. He wrote the woodwind syllabi for Alto. Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute. In 2015 he completed the Brass syllabi for Trumpet and Trombone. At the moment Greg is working on the Jazz Syllabi for all instruments. Greg is also an examiner for St Cecilia for whom he has examined on the Central Coast NSW, Brisbane, Sydney and the South Coast.
Greg was invited to adjudicate at the St Cecilia Performance challenge in Launceston Tasmania 2007 and 2016. There are performances from pianists, violinist, cellists, woodwind and brass instruments from Friday night to Sunday afternoon.
Greg is currently band tutor at Wyong Christian Community School. He started the in 2018. Apart from all brass, woodwind, bass and percussion concert band instruments he also teaches violin, piano and guitar.
Greg is a very passionate and hard-working music teacher who works to help all students to excel on their chosen instrument.
